Women's Shelter

We invite you to sow building materials or make monetary donations to assist us in this venture. The vision for the Women’s Shelter is to provide women with a safe haven away from the environment of abuse.  Unfortunately, during our research, we have found that many women are codependent on their abusers and therefore find themselves enduring battery and other forms of abuse, because of financial dependency.  In some instances, these women are of various nationalities and so it becomes difficult for them to leave the environment.  The objective is to provide temporary housing for these women and their children.

The shelter will facilitate women who are victims of sexual assault, rape or domestic violence along with their children.  However, there is an extensive vision which incorporates a more permanent solution for those seeking a new life and who have made the decision to start over.  This extended vision is to be called “Mercy Complex.”  The vision and purpose of Mercy Complex is to provide a housing project with facilities for career training, day care and also a agriculture program which gives women the motivation for planting a home garden to offer fresh produce for their own consumption or for marketing on a small scale.

The plan here is to build small chattels with sufficient land space to accommodate a small garden.  These chattels will be housed within a complex surrounded by a safety wall and security at the gate.  Its accommodations will include laundry facilities; a small supermarket and small businesses which will provide a measure of security for those who have a need to be protected from the access of their abusers.  However, these chattels will be made available on a minimal rental basis depending on the circumstances surrounding each case matter.

In the event that any of the occupants desire to leave, then ICEMINISTRIES, INT'L will regain control of the chattel and make the determination as to the next occupant of said chattel.  Under no circumstances will these chattels be allowed to be rented without the approval of the Mercy Complex Board of Directors.  There will be set guidelines given to each applicant prior to release of a chattel so as to establish the bylaws governing the agreement.
